1. Indian Railways has developed a Hybrid Vacuum Toilet design which combines the advantages of Vacuum toilets and those of Biotoilets. These toilet has been fitted on trial basis in Dibrugarh Rajdhani.


2. Madhya Pradesh Government launched M-Shiksha-Mitra mobile app for teachers.


3Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has banned the sale of Diclofenac in multidose vial to save and protect vultures from
brink of extinction.

4.Perumanna Grama Panchayat in Kozhikode district of Kerala has become the first Panchayat in the State, to declare its own water policy. The policy was drafted with the help of the Centre for Water Resources Development and Management (CWRDM) Kunnamangalam. The policy also seeks to make panchayat garbage free by 2020, thus eliminating water pollution completely.

5. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched National Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh to provide 24×7 power supply to every house.

6. Metro Man Elattuvalapil Sreedharan has been invited to the United Nations’ High Level Advisory Group on Sustainable Transport (HLAG-ST).

7. India and Laos have inked two key Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) on Air services and Quick Impact Projects under the Mekong-Ganga Cooperation (MGC) programme to strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations.

8. Ajinkya Rahane has been conferred with the honorary life membership by the Cricket Club of India (CCI).

9. Afghan refugee teacher Aqeela Asifi has won the 2015 United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Nansen Refugee Award. The award includes a commemorative medal and a 100000 US dollars monetary prize.

10. An indigenously developed second generation anti-tank guided missile, Amogha-I was successfully test fired. It is developed by state owned Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) and it has maximum target range of 2.8 kms. 

                                                                  
11. Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) on 16 September 2015 increased the life insurance cover of its subscribers from 3.6 lakh to 6 lakh rupees. About 40 million contributing members of the EPFO will be benefitted from the decision taken at the 208th CBT meeting in Hyderabad.

12.Veteran skeet shooter Mairaj Ahmad Khan clinched a Rio Olympics quota place for India at the ongoing ISSF Shotgun World Championship.

12. Japan’s parliament has passed two security laws to amend its pacifist constitution framed after WWII to allow its troops to fight abroad.
